Just a question for SGA fans...

I'm currently working on a time travel/alternate reality fic, and I need a bit of help.

How many ZPMs does the Daedalus have, if any?

Exactly what happened to Ford, after the events of "The Hive" and stuff. I know that he was on the wraith ship, but I don't remember if he was ever found after that or not, having missed out on the last season entirely. (besides last night and seeing Ford again in "Search and Rescue" that is).

Does Sheppard have any siblings? Brothers or sisters? I know that he was married for a brief period of time, and I know that he had a daugther/son? Oh, right, and he had one brother when he went back to see his father's funeral.

Has Dr. Lee been over to Atlantis, even once? I know that he went with Sam in one episode, but did he actually step foot inside the city?

Also, any other MAJOR events in season five that I've missed would be greatly appreciated in me learning. I'm still watching the last season, though.

Oh, and whatever happened to Radek? I've just started the fifth season, and I've yet to see him yet.

Thanks for any help!

I'm sitting here in a hotel, killing an hour, before we (meaning my grandparents and I) go to a massive lunch buffet and stuff our faces at my younger sisters collage. :D

Woke up this morning at seven, and tried to sleep in longer, but there was just too many people going about outside our room. So, with heavy reluctance, I got up, got a shower, and am now spending time on the internet, doing Vampire Wars on facebook, and stuff.

Hey, that's right, you don't know that I'm on Facebook, now. :) I love facebook...I'll have to figure out a way to link my facebook homepage to here, so that people can see what I've been doing. I've already gotten a few videos on it, posted quite a bit, and have played quite a few of their games. If anyone else is a facebook fan/user...you'll probably understand. ;)

Speaking of, if anyone also uses facebook-maybe you can help me figure out how to link from their facebook homepage to here, I'll be really, really grateful. :D

Now it's off to go explore more of the internet, since there's FREE WI-FI here.

Have a good morning, everyone! :D

EDIT: Never mind, I think I figured it out!

Football!!!!

once upon a time...
Sitting here, next to the TV and watching Football on Sunday night, where the Packers (my team I just picked randomly) is winning! [So far, 10 to 2!]  Also had some mint chocolate chip ice cream for desert (yum).

Other than that, not much is going on today. Got some chores done here at home, and also worked on plotting my grand trip for when I turn Twenty one-I plan on doing writercon, comicon, dragoncon-and any other con-as well as traveling to quite a few different other places...Washington D.C., Colorado, New York, Canada, and Alaska! Not to mention, I also plan on having a paid account on livejournal next year, and MAYBE my own website, filled with my original, fanfiction, and other kinds of stories that I've been writing over the years, but haven't necessarily been posting.

On a side note: I'm up to Season 7 in Smallville....and its AWESOME!!!! EEEK!!!!

Eeek!!!

I just watched the first episode of Being Human, and found it INCREDIABLE!!!

Vampires!
Werewolves!
Ghosts!

I'm going to go and watch the second episode now, but it's definately a favorite of mine. I'm probably going to buy the first season ASAP. :D

Happy Birthday to Me

once upon a time...
It's officially my twentieth birthday, and so far I've been to the doctors for a 'check-up' went to wal-mart, and am now home looking online for possible jobs. I'm thinking seriously of becoming a nurse, but it's so complicated, and it takes four expensive years for schooling. I don't think I could do it, even though I had good qualities for it.

In any words, being its my twentieth birthday, I'm going to be doing: nothing.

I'll be getting chores up here in a bit, and taking the dogs outside to play (we recently aquired an Irish-Wolfhound-or rather, it acquired us, and along with that we have a small female terrior...whereas the wolfhound is a large male), and get some lunch, because I haven't eaten much of anything today-got up early at seven to go to the doctors, like I said.

So, as far as birthdays go....so far, this one sucks.

PASSED DRIVERS TEST!!!

  • Aug. 18th, 2009 at 11:32 AM
it was a manly faint
And I'm shouting, because it took me forever to do so!

I'm finally a licesned driver, and I'm finally going to start driving around the country-side. Yay!

Not to mention, my favorite radio station has played (mostly) all my favorite music, and I've met one of my old high school friends today as well, and I'm going to get some income here in a bit too-I'm selling all my books on ebay here soon, after I get them all organized, and processed, and seeing just how many books I have total.

So, all in all, today-so far-has been phenomally good! :D

Anyone else having a fantastic tuesday? Or just a good tuesday in general?

I hope everyone else's day is as good-or more than good-than mine.

It's been a while since I've posted on here, so I decided to post something up really up.

Here soon, I'm going to be able to upgrade to a paid account, so there's about to be some changes on my profile and such again. I've already changed my penname and journal title, just so's you know. For those who don't know-my old penname was "Fitzwiggity". It has now been changed to "ScaryScottishDoctor" because I like Scotland, and I also have a fair hand at healing crittiers and the like. There's not going to be a whole lot to the writing in change.

Other than that, there's not going to be a whole lot of change. I shall probably post all of my stories that I've written in the past, and see how well people enjoy them. Before doing that, I will probably put up polls to see which one people want to read first. There's really not a whole lot, but there's enough for a few polls.

I don't have much else to say at the moment, but I'll be back on in a while, changing around things, and getting the paid account version set up. It may take around a week to do so, FYI.

Stargate Universe-New Show coming Fall 2009

  • Apr. 15th, 2009 at 5:05 PM
once upon a time...

I just discovered on my search in google, that the creators of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis have come up with yet another really cool looking show-Stargate Universe.

It has a new crew, as well as all the familiar technology and mythology of both the original shows, and also I'm thinking that it's going to have a lot more interesting new things coming along with it.

The exact date for the show hasn't been released, I don't think, but I found that it does come out sometime this fall.

It's nice to see that the Stargate series isn't done yet! :D

Smallville

books

I need to get some icons for Smallville...

Speaking of-

WHY HAS NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THE AWESOMENESS OF IT?!

I just got done watching the first season, and am now anxiously waiting for my sibling to get the second season from a friend, of which has all of them except the newest one.

My favorite episodes, this season one, are: "Pilot" (because it got me HOOKED, and hooked HARD), "Hothead" (because Clark on the football team was just cool!), "Jitters" (because hostage situations are always fun, and it shows how Lex Luther is DEFINATELY not his father), "Kinetic" (because I just loved the Chloe and Clark moments at the hospital), "Nicodemous" (because it had a favorite character from 'Eureka' on it, and because it was just so fun!), and lastly..."The Tempest" (because of everything).

I know there are at least a few people on my F'list who've seen this show...any thoughts, musings, etc, in looking back at the first season? Any spoilers, hints, or ideas of what might happen in the future? I wasn't looking to get hooked into another show, but my sibling did the job...and now I find something else that I love, right along with Stargate Atlantis.

It's funny, because though I wasn't a huge fan of the movies, now I'm a huge fan of the series....

The New Me...

I've really wanted to get a new profile-or at least an upgraded account-on here for a while, and I think I've got everything planned out to where it'll actually work. I've thought it out, and decided since this profile was mostly during my teenage years, then why not have a sepreate account for my adult years? Granted, it'll take a bit to get everything set up, but I'm really thinking that this might work.

I've got the name for the profile-of which I won't release yet-and the bio written out, which is basically mostly the same as this one, except for the fact that it also stats that my original origins came from 'Fitzwiggity', and that this is just my teenage years up for display. I've been working on writing fanfictions for the new journal, as well as trying to think of some discussions/commentaries for it as well. Which brings me to ask a question for those that have been here a long time:

What do you look for in a new journal-specifically; do you look for the coolness of the background, or do you look at the way the person speaks? Do you see if says person has interesting posts, or merely just look to see how many places he/she has been?

It's a rather important question that I do need answered, as I've been plotting and planning many different things, but without the help of outside opinion, I find this whole journal making thing rather vague on my part.

Also, I need a list of interesting communities to go forth and mess around in...stuff that has long discussions about shows/books/movies/etc. Something that'll keep my brain occupied and help me out more with ideas for my own futuristic journal I know there's a few on my f'list that will have some suggestions...:D

In other news: Not much is going on in my life right now. I've lost the ability to speak, do to a sore throat, and coughing, but other than that, I'm doing perfectly great!

To Everyone (Or, as I call it, Pointless)

Okay, I've felt that my basic writing is pretty much pointless.

For the last few days, I've been writing up many different short stories for Stargate Atlantis fics, and I've also written a few original stories, all of which-to me-seem like crap.

I can't help feeling that I shouldn't post them at all, because-really, who would read them anyways?

All in all, I need some honest opinions here-

Would people go and read my short stories? Should I even bother posting up my original stories?

Or should I just go and do something else to pass the time with and forget about writing entirely?

The reason I ask these questions is because here lately, I've been feeling pretty crappy about myself. I look at other people's stories and find that their increadibly good (and, yeah, okay, award worthy)-people's like Friendshippers, and Tipper Green, and Kriadydragon, and Sablecains, and...the list goes on. I haven't even posted any stories...mostly becasue I'm afraid of what people would say about them...

Oh, wow this sucks!

Okay, maybe I'm just being all paranoid, and stupid...but that's honestly how I feel. Has anyone ever felt as this way before about their writing? Their afraid to put it up because of the kind of rejection that people might give it? Or because their afraid that people will just ignore them entirely?

Or  maybe I'm just being self-centered.

I'm going to go and have a cup of hot tea, maybe get rid of this little crappy stomache problem I've got, and get my head back together. Find some way to become postiive.

(Or, maybe with this depressed mood I've got, I'll just write a really depressing story and make everyone else just as unhappy as I am. :D)

Bored

Trying to figure out what else there is to keep me entertained in the upcoming weeks. Got a few suggestions book-wise, but other than that...I'm at a lost as to what to do.

I was thinking of renting the first season of something, but I'm not altogether sure what I would want to watch. I don't really want to rent Stargate Atlantis because someone is (supposedly) getting me that for Christmas. :D

So...is there anything anyone else thinks would be good to watch/read/whatever during the winter to do?

Something I Wish For Christmas...

  • Dec. 8th, 2008 at 1:17 PM
once upon a time...
Is to be able to have a paid account.

I'm trying to work really hard around the house, since I don't have a job, and I want to really be able to get a paid account on this website, since it's one of the only places I spend time on. I do occassionally spend time on other websites, but this one the most often, because of friends and such on here sharing the same interests that I have-fanfiction and stargate atlantis.

I've been also wondering-how does one change a penname? Does anyone know? Because I've looked in the 'FAQs' and haven't found out how. I'd appreciate any help in that deparment tremendously.

I've also been wondering-what are the ups and downs of getting a paid account? I just want to be sure that getting a paid account is really worth it.

I'm going to go and continue eating marshmellows, drinking the new voltage dew, and writing fanfiction. :D

Change

  • Dec. 7th, 2008 at 7:45 PM
once upon a time...
I'm thinking seriously of changing my penname on the journal, but I'm not entirely sure if I should or not.

Along with my penname, I'm probably going to change the background-I'm playing around with different  ones at the moment to see which would look right-and my journal title's.

I just wanted to see who would really notice, and what everyone would think of it. If you do notice any difference, and like the new looks of it, let me know please.

There's no real reason for this-but I just grew tired of the old look on the journal, and decided that it was time for a change.

Cold Weather and Books

  • Dec. 5th, 2008 at 4:49 PM
once upon a time...
It's cold. I'm shivering, and my hands are complaining to me.

Also wishing that I had something to read. Anyone feel like making suggestions on what to read in the wintertime? I really don't mind anything-except westerns. (For some reason, I can't stand them!) Also, don't care if it's over a thousand pages long...I like long books, as the case may be. So...what books should I read?

Anyone?

It's Snowing!!!

Hey Sablecain! Guess what? It's snowing!!!

I beat you too it! Also-snow in NOVEMBER!!! (Mom was not happy. I was. <bg>

It was funny, because yesterday I asked mom while we were chopping wood (or rather, she chopped I stacked) if it would be cool if snow came down tomorrow. Woke up, looked out the window (I sleep upstairs) and saw that snow was coming down! It was sticking some too...at least to the vehicals. But nowhere near enough snow to have a snowball fight-or even make snow angels. It's a bit chilly too...but not bad, because we've got heat.

So-have you guys gotten snow yet? Has anyone? :D

LET ME KNOW!!!!

Thanksgiving was a blast!

Ate lots and lots of butter bread-more so than the turkey, which is a first. (lol) Had some really good carrots, and some green bean casserole. Also, afterwards, pumpkin cake, which takes-for some weird reason-a lot like spice cake. But it was still good!

Here's a fic for all of you out there. Hope people enjoy it, and would love it if someone would comment on it. It's a Stargate Atlantis fic, of course. Rodney centric.

And there it is! A good way to celebrate Thanksgiving, tho the fic is rather a day late. *giggles* oh well. Hope everyone enjoyed it!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!!

I managed to order in some early Christmas gifts, as I doubt that I'd be doing any shopping this year. I'm not feeling very big on Christmas this year, and I'm not entirely sure why.

In any case...been writing up a storm on my computer. Three original fics, and an SGA fanfic. SGA should be done here after a while, but it'll be a while before I can post it because of the 'no internet' situation again. I'm going to try to talk mom into letting me have dial-up so that I can at least get on @ night. Really.

I realize that it's getting closer and closer to the end of SGA! SO SAD!!!! :(
once upon a time...
Here I am taking a break. I should be still writing, but currently my brain is pettered out. (Is pettered even a word?) My fingers have pratically flown across the keyboard during the last hour and a half or so, and I've actually come up with a pretty decent story...so far. It seems a little fast, and the characters seem a little...off. I think.

In any case...in a couple of days I'm heading back home. Which means-NO INTERNET. *sighs* I really am going to miss getting online most of the time here. But maybe I'll be able to concentrate on writing more there...maybe.

For anyone whose interested in learning the Czech language, just go here...

www.wordbook.cz

It's a fascinating dictionary that can translate anything from english to Czech...or from German to Czech...or French....

Try it out! It's really cool!
